Charitable Projects

The Falcons School for Boys support the charity ‘Sanitation First’ and have helped to  construct a village school, toilets and a well in Felequoma village, Pujehun district, Sierra Leone.

Sanitation First is a registered charity working in some of the poorest parts of the world.  The Charity aims to alleviate poverty by providing people with composting Ecosan toilets, clean water and sustainable livelihoods. They are also involved in special projects such as building schools. The cost for this project is £23,500 so both sites are aiming to raise £11,750 each over two years.

The Falcons Prep PA, have supported this charity (previously called Wherever the Need) for a number of years and in 2013 raised funds to build a primary school in Nyeyama Village, Sierra Leone. The school was completed in September 2013 and officially opened by Mr Milne, former Headmaster of the Falcons School for Boys, during his visit to Sierra Leone in October. Mr Milne was warmly welcomed by Government officials, tribal chiefs, and the parents and children of Nyeyama Village who are all thrilled with their new school building.

The children donate food and supplies every year for the Harvest Festival. Occasionally though topic work a class may support a local charity too, such as Reception recently hosting a tea party for their parents to support the Guardian Angels Animal Support Charity.
