At Falcons, we provide support for boys who may not otherwise be able to access a private education.
Details of our bursaries and scholarship schemes are below, and more information is available by contacting the Registrar.
In conjunction with Alpha-Plus and the Gold Standard Trust, Falcons operates a bursary scheme for boys entering the school at Reception (4+), Year 3 (7+) and Year 7 (11+). It is designed to provide assistance with fees for boys from financially disadvantaged backgrounds or in situations where a private school education is not financially accessible. Applications should be submitted to the Headmistress via the Registrar before being processed confidentially in discussion with the Gold Standard Trust – the organisation ultimately responsible for making decisions regarding all bursary applications.
For boys joining the school in Year 3, up to two places are available on an Academic Scholarship basis, which entitles the recipient to a 20% reduction in school fees. Selection is based on an above-average performance in the age-appropriate online tests (InCAS) sat by all candidates looking to enter the school. If selected, boys will be invited to attend an interview with a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and also to complete some further academic tests in English and Maths. Decisions on scholarship places are made shortly afterwards and reviewed annually each June.
