We are proudly connected to our local community in a number of ways, and we are keen that boys play an active role to help build their understanding of that connection.
We experience the riches of the local area, frequently visiting Old Deer Park, Richmond Park, the Richmond Museum, Hampton Court and Kew Gardens on school trips.
Our links to local causes include homelessness charity SPEAR, who we support with food donations for Harvest festival, and the Richmond Good Neighbours charity, who we support by hosting afternoon teas with board games and bingo, as well as the delivery of hampers at Christmas.
Christmas hampers are also given to our local church, St John the Divine, and neighbours. All proceeds are donated by the school community.
Between 2018 and 2020, we have supported Skylarks as our designated school charity, having chosen them through our Parents’ Association.
We are linked to the neighbouring cricket and athletics clubs and undertake a Sporting Challenge Day every year to raise money for the rugby charity Wooden Spoon.
Pupils also benefit from talks from our local Police education officer, who speaks to pupils and parents about topics such as personal safety, online safety and the criminal age of responsibility.
