The English department gave Year 6 boys a challenge to build their version of the Globe Theatre as part of our Romeo and Juliet study: nothing unusual about that. What was unusual was the gusto with which the boys attacked the task then presented their marvellous creations to parents, staff and other pupils.
We were absolutely astounded by their articulate and composed analysis and evaluation of their creations: their presentations about their design decisions, successes and failures, collaboration and final products, were exceptional.
We cannot thank them and their families enough for their diligent and professional attention to the task. It truly was another one of those ‘Falcon’ moments: where our family comes together to support and create beautiful learning.
