Year 5 Blues vs RPPS, 35-0

An excellent opening game for the Year 5 Blues as they ran in 7 unanswered tries. The boys really have picked up where they left off last season, working as a cohesive unit in defence and attacking with excellent passing and strong running. Alex Shaul was superb with the ball in hand, he showed great determination, strength, balance and was too quick for the opposition scoring a hatrick of tries in the first half. With our scrum being so dominant and with us being quick to the breakdown allowed our backline, being well marshalled by fly-half Nat Rudder, to slice through the opposition with quick feet and assertive decision making. The other try scorers included Tom Waring(2), Jonno Mackrill and Theo Wilson.
