DT Day
Every term at school the boys take part in a DT Day, where they are encouraged to use their design and technology skills to create different products. They are given a brief from which they design, manufacture and evaluate their outcomes.
The boys in Yr 3 had to design a creature that had at least one moving part. They came up with ingenious ideas and used pneumatic systems and balloons to help their creatures achieve their goals.

In Yr 4 the boys worked at designing their own percussion instrument. After examining traditional drums and shakers they put their heads together and came up with a whole host of fantastic and playable instruments.

Yr 5 spent an exciting afternoon and morning looking at the essential structures of the three types of bridges – beam, suspension and arch bridges. The boys made insightful conclusions about the structural nature of each type of bridge. They researched examples such as the Golden Gate Bridge and Sydney Harbour Bridge and then had a go at making their own.
