Music and the Performing Arts

Each child will be given the opportunity to participate in Music and the Performing Arts whilst at The Falcons. Pupils will have the opportunity to explore their musical talents through a stable of peripatetic tutors offering a broad range of instruments. They will also be encouraged to take part in Choirs and Music Groups and they will perform in the major events of the school calendar. By exploring themes such as Animal Music and Rhythm Studies, pupils will develop their composition, aural and playing skills expressing themselves using correct terminology.

We also aim to give every boy the chance to participate in Drama. As well as being a rich subject in itself, it has the benefits of building children's confidence, social, performance and self presentation skills. It will also be used as a tool to explore other topics taught in the curriculum.
